DREAM
What
does "Reach Your Peak" mean to me?
To pursue your dreams, to lead with your heart to listen to that
voice inside yourself that wants to fly, take a chance, a risk,
to dare to be different, follow your own lead, to help others,
to help yourself, to make a difference in the world
that's
what REACH YOUR PEAK means to me
Goals:
Community Goal: Create an organization to teach youth from an
early age how to awaken and go after their dreams, and learn how
to give back to their communities. This will build in them a greater
sense of self-confidence and responsibility, and a chance at continuing
on that process for generations to come, as well as live more
truthful and fulfilling lives.
Personal Goal: To experience the world in a different way, to
learn about teamwork, and to test my mental and physical strength
and endurance by climbing the Seven Summits, the highest peak
on each continent including the notorious Mt. Everest.
"For me mountain climbing is the struggle of man against
himself. The fight to withstand prolonged exposure to the often-harsh
elements of Mother Nature. The ability to leave behind the creature
comforts of civilization and keep moving even when every cell
in your body screams for you to stop. The opportunity to see
the world in all its glory, just the way god created it. The
understanding to know you can survive, to know what you're capable
of, and to take this journey in concert with others, all facing
the same tests, each there for their own reasons. There has
never been a time in my life, that I have felt more awake or
more alive..."
