Our Mission

Reach Your Peak (RYP) works to inspire youth ages 12-18 to dream, and to give them the resources to help them realize their personal potential and their community goals. RYP provides youth the courage, training, and tools to achieve their goals through activities related to goal-setting, education, fundraising, and volunteer service to turn their dreams into action.

Our Approach

Reach Your Peak strives to bring its D.R.E.A.M. curriculum and RYP events to classrooms and communities across America, and all around the world.

Every participating school will have access to the Reach Your Peak curriculum and planning guide, a series of mapped out lessons and sample projects that will get youth started on their journeys to become an active part of the community, as well as online tools to guide them on their individual journey to reach their peaks.

Reach Your Peak also aims to educate students about how other youth of our nation and around the world are reaching their own peaks and potential, by advancing the development of their communities, and connect them to each other to share their thoughts and experiences.

Our Events

Each year we choose an ordinary individual(s) attempting an extraordinary venture as our Life Quest Participant(s). The Life Quest will be long in term and serve to motivate and inspirate youth as they take action to reach their own peaks. Using the D.R.E.A.M. curriculum RYP Life Quest Participants will show students how they are accomplishing their own goals, as well as teach them about the worlds in which they are involved.

Our Program

The D.R.E.A.M. Curriculum is an educational program, that clearly lays out the road map for youth to set their own goals and take action to achieve them. It's easy to follow and easy to remember with its 5 Step/10 Lesson curriculum. D.R.E.A.M. uses a two-pronged approach, having the students set both a Community Dream as well as a Personal Dream, in order to show that the D.R.E.A.M. approach can be applied to any situation.

This program was created to get youth to think and to D.R.E.A.M. Its first lesson was created to jump start that process before any goals are even thought about or set, by having the students write an essay defining "What Reach Your Peak means to me", in 250 words or less. The top essays from each school will be sent to RYP and the winners will be chosen by our selection committee. Grants of varying monetary value will be awarded to those schools whose student(s) have been selected not only for their essay, but also for how successfully they took action to reach their goals. These grants will be used to further meet the needs of their school or communities.

"DREAM YOUR LIFE!"

DREAM - IDENTIFY YOUR GOAL
An ESSAY that will be evaluated, and help the students more clearly define what they want to accomplish. This will be the basis for our Dream Grant, which will reward students and schools with monetary grants to help them accomplish their goals, and channel money RYP raises directly to the Youth of our Nation.

"MAKE IT HAPPEN!"

RESEARCH - RESEARCH YOUR GOAL
Learn everything there is to learn about your goal and how to accomplish it; Go to a library, the web, ask your parents and teachers for help.

EVALUATE - EVALUATE AND PLAN YOUR GOAL
Now that you have all the information, you can evaluate your project and use RYP's website along with other tools, to plan the execution of your goal.

ACTION - TAKE ACTION ON YOUR GOAL
Time to put your idea in motion.

MOTIVATION - MOTIVATE OTHERS AND SET FUTURE GOALS FOR YOURSELF
You've now REACHed YOUR current PEAK. You've learned how to set goals and go after them. This should build self-confidence from what you've learned, and you now have the road map and experience to motivate others to REACH THEIR OWN PEAKS.

Our Distribution

RYP sponsor's dollars will be distributed to the following channels:

1) Distribution of RYP Programs & materials to schools.
2) Grants to Dream Grant Winners.
3) Supporting Youth Service America, our Community Service Partner.
4) Event specific charitable organizations.
5) Many Hats Institute.
6) Other RYP supporting organizations, such as Best Buddies, etc.
